Course Details

N-SHAP's Diploma course is run twice a year and each course is of ten months duration. The London based course is based at the Union Jack Club, Sandell Street, Waterloo, London, SE1 8UJ. The Cambridge course is based at Cambridge Regional College, Room C143, Kings Hedges, Cambridge.

Currently London starts in February and Cambridge starts in September. Courses are run subject to sufficient student numbers. Predominantly the London course runs on the first weekend of the month and the Cambridge course runs on the second weekend of the month. Specific dates will be advised and may be altered due to unforeseen circumstances.

After successful completion of the first four weekends and assessment, students will gain the INTERMEDIATE PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATE. The second part of the course is over the following six weekends and successful completion leads to the DIPLOMA IN THERAPEUTIC HYPNOSIS AND PSYCHOTHERAPY.

Courses are run on consecutive Saturdays & Sundays 10:00 to 5:30 pm approximately with a break for lunch.

COURSE FEE £2250

Applications to be accompanied by deposit of £450. Balance of fees due in total BEFORE the course commences OR by payment of £360 BEFORE the first weekend of training followed by FOUR further payments due by the 1st of each month of £360 each. (This should be given at the start of the course as post dated cheques - dated 1st of each consecutive month or by Standing Order from your bank). Total Fees £2250. All fees will be returned to the prospective student if they are not accepted on the course. If a student is accepted and later cancels, all fees will be returned less an administrative fee of £50.

INTRODUCTORY INTERVIEWS - may be required and are by individual arrangement.

N.B. the use by students of own tape recorders is not allowed in class and printed materials may not be reproduced without the formal written consent of N-SHAP. Continuation on any part of the course is at the discretion of the School with the advice of the teachers and the right is reserved in rare circumstances to require the withdrawal of any student for whom the course is found to be unsuitable.

Successful candidates of the diploma course may enter the pathway to UKCP Registration if they are suitably qualified to do so. (Hold a first degree or equivalent). In addition to the details in the Guide to Training there will be a requirement to maintain a Portfolio of Learning throughout the training period.
